FAQs

What is your turnaround time?

Our standard turnaround time is 3-4 business days for most projects. We also offer expedited services for urgent requests, including 24-hour and same-day delivery. Please contact us for a custom quote on expedited services.

What file formats do you accept?

We accept a wide range of audio and video formats, including MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, MP4, MOV, and AVI. If you have a file in a format not listed, please use a free modifier online. Contact us for assistance if you need any.

How do you ensure confidentiality and security?

We take confidentiality and data security very seriously. All of our transcribers sign strict Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs). We use secure, encrypted servers for file transfers and storage, and all files are permanently deleted from our servers after a predetermined period (e.g., 30 days) after project completion. Visit our Privacy Policy page for more details.

How is pricing calculated?

Our pricing is typically calculated on a per-audio-minute basis. The final price depends on factors like the complexity of the content, the audio quality, and your chosen turnaround time. For a cost estimate, please use the Get an Instant Quote option or visit our Pricing page.

Why do you review the uploaded files before issuing a final quote?

We review all uploaded files to ensure their quality is suitable for accurate transcription. While most files are transcribed without an issue, some audio may be too muffled, have too much background noise, or be in a language we don’t support. This initial check prevents issues that can arise with a “pay first” model, such as having to issue refunds or credits for untranscribable files. Our process ensures that we can guarantee a high-quality transcription before you pay.

Do you offer speaker identification?

Yes, all of our standard transcripts include basic speaker identification (e.g., “Speaker 1,” “Speaker 2”), if speaker labels are not provided. For complex transcripts with many speakers, we can provide more detailed labeling upon request.

Can you transcribe files with multiple speakers or poor audio quality?

Our experienced transcriptionists are skilled at handling challenging audio. While we can transcribe files with multiple speakers or poor quality, these projects may incur a surcharge due to the extra time required. In some instances where the audio quality is terribly bad, it might not be transcribable at all, and therefore the reason why we check files before issuing a final quote.
